An international study revealed over 90% of women aged between 15 and 64 years would change at least one thing about their body image if they could. It was reported that the number one change they would make was to their weight.

It seems only 3 per cent of women do not make negative comments about their appearance. In the US, the main candidates are stomachs and thighs with the statement "I'm ugly" also ranking. Women have these thoughts about hourly in waking hours - the average was 13 times a day.

Audrey Hepburn wrote this when asked about her beauty tips:

  • For attractive lips, speak words of kindness.
  • For lovely eyes, seek out the good in people.
  • For a slim figure, share your food with the hungry.
  • For beautiful hair, let a child run his/her fingers through it once a day.
  • For poise, walk with the knowledge that you never walk alone.
  • People, even more than things, have to be restored, renewed, revived, reclaimed, and redeemed; never throw out anyone.
  • Remember, if you ever need a helping hand, you will find one at the end of each of your arms.
  • As you grow older, you will discover that you have two hands; one for helping yourself, and the other for helping others.
